On September 1, 2024, the 24th Children's Trike Ride took place in Essen, escorted by the police and the motorcycle clubs Blue Knights and Red Knights, with a stop in Kray for a delicious barbecue. Essen's Police President Andreas Stüve took the patronage and led the ride.
New patron - Andreas Stüve
Andreas Stüve has been Chief of Police in Essen since 2022 and the new patron of the children's ride since 2024.
